1906 Lodge's Orchid in the Parlor Window

The 1906 Lodge is proud to announce it was chosen for an "Orchid" award for historic preservation by the San Diego Architectural Foundation.  Each year the foundation recognizes examples of good, and not so good, architecture in San Diego County.   The 1906 Lodge was one of only two structures chosen for this prestigious award in the preservation category.

In addition to the meticulous exterior restoration, each of the 17 rooms and suites honors a different person or place from Coronado's past.  The walls are adorned with old photos, maps  and postcards.    Guests can sit in the old fashioned parlor, complete with the original leaded glass windows and antique furniture.   The front veranda is furnished with comfortable wicker chairs and is a favorite spot for reading or people watching!
