The 2nd annual “Time Out for Women” overnight retreat was held at the 1906 Lodge in March.  Hosted by Coronado St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, the conference center was perfect for their program.  And the relaxing Arts and Crafts decorated parlor was perfect for an old fashioned pajama party until midnight!

Groups can reserve the entire property for retreats, business meetings, classes, or family gatherings.  The main conference room can accommodate up to 35 people, and the 2 adjoining breakout rooms provide room to spread out.

The monthly Coronado FOCUS (Friends of Children United Society) meeting was held April 21st at the 1906 Lodge. This organization raises funds to benefit disadvantaged and disabled children in San Diego County. The featured speaker was Erica Johnson, Community Relations coordinator at South Bay Community Services. The meeting was followed by lunch in the Arts and Crafts decorated dining room. Innkeeper Susan Nelson’s Three Cheese Strata was a big hit for lunch. This is one of the seven unique recipes offered each week for breakfast at the Lodge.

Our intimate setting is great for small meetings.  Our conference room seats up to 28, plus we have 2 breakout rooms seating 6-10 people.   Last week we hosted a group of salespeople from a major pharmaceutical company.  To quote one of the attendees, “I usually hate these business meetings but this setting was great.  I’ll be back for a pleasure trip!”  Not only is breakfast provided free, we can provide refreshments for breaks, lunch, or dinner on site.  Our 5:00 – 6:00 PM wine and cheese awaits you after a long day of meetings.  The parlor, dining room, and back veranda are all available for meals or receptions.  Desks in the rooms and suites, free WIFI, and a teleconferencing phone help ensure you can take care of business with ease.
